Weijie Li, MD, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine and the Director of Hematopathology and Flow Cytometry at Children’s Mercy Hospital, Kansas City, USA. He is a physician board-certified in anatomic pathology, clinical pathology, and hematopathology. He has clinical expertise in the diagnosis of leukemias/lymphomas and other hematolymphoid diseases, and laboratory monitoring of the therapeutic response of these diseases, especially in acute leukemias. He is actively involved in teaching and research. He is the principal investigator or co-investigator of multiple funded research projects. His research is focused on diagnostic and prognostic markers of leukemia/lymphoma, minimal residual disease detection of acute leukemia, flow cytometry study of hematolymphoid malignancy, and the deregulation of signaling pathway in pediatric leukemia/lymphoma. He has published extensively in these areas and served as a reviewer for multiple journals in these fields.
